I forgot to post this! Christine and I so loved looking at Aunt Medalou's scrapbook... It really gave us a look inside the heart of that girl.. who became Aunt Medalou.
In December, I ran into Deborah one day and the very same day I ran into Janice. I don't think that was a coincidence. I never run into them. We had a really nice chat. I love our cousins and I hope we can all get together as a Petty clan for an afternoon soon.
P.S. sorry about the upside down picture or two.. don't have time to figure out to fix that... I haven't figured out yet why our new photo editor does this..oh Well.! Sisters of mine... see if you love her scrapbook as much as Chrissy and I did.
Now more about Aunt Medalou's funeral etc.
Here is Janice, Cynthia an Deborah Petty all sharing stories about their mother..Aunt Medalou. Christine and I attended and there was the sweetest spirit at this funeral. It was so good to be reminded and remember the great people we can call family. What wonderful people Aunt Medalou and Uncle Bob are.
And for my sisters.... Christine and I looked through a scrapbook that the Petty family had on display. This is a scrapbook that Aunt Medalou had started when she was a teenager. It was absolutely adorable and chronicled her life up until she was a busy mother of lots of little kids..and she didn't have enough time...but then she picked it up again on their 50th wedding anniversary...It was so fun to look through it and really get a look into the heart of this wonderful wonderful woman...
Wish we would have taken a picture of every single page.....
Just look at the passion..... the marital bliss....
More that captures her excitement about being married...
Oops took this one upside down! Still getting to know my camera. But, that is obviously a picture of she and Uncle Bob on their honeymoon...where they found Whitefish Lake!!
This page captures the hope and dreams of their new life together...
Life as a new wife... She wrote the cutest things on every page and pasted in the cutest lines and pictures... so much fun.
Handsome Uncle Bob... who was in the military at the time...
She also captured some of the funny things about day to day life as a young wife and mother.....
Ha Ha!
Darn ! Another one that is upside down... This is when they had several little children...
So cute!
And a poster honoring their many missions and good works.. They are such a great example...
